Glimpses of life

                          After a long break I finally sat down to share some of the teeny weeny incidents which makes me smile as I look back at it.                        I happened to come to office today after almost two weeks. With the forecast of a rainy week , the early morning hours were chill and refreshing. Imagine the sun breaking through the grey clouds as though it is waking up from its slumber covered in the grey cloudy sheets..that’s how I felt as I was riding the bus to work. Lush green trees with bright yellow flowers , cleaned up by the rain adding more charm to the scenery ..made me feel like the suburbs of Scotland.                       One of my friend who does’nt like rain was chatting that in London, Portland, Bangalore it seems to be raining all the time and the poet who wrote the Rhyme Rain Rain go away…must be from one of these places 😊.                                 Its been awhile since I got back to my blogging. Thanks to few of my friends who were checking if I wrote anything new and were interested to read😀 . What do you perceive when you see the rain drops just falling from the sky.. What do you perceive when you see a string of raindrops clinging on to the clothesline.. Arranged like peas in a peapod close to each other side by side in an orderly manner Glistening in the sunlight once the rain stops like a string of pearls.. Reflecting the surroundings and sometimes even shimmer with the rainbow colors Like a bouquet of flowers on every droplet..🌷 I just happened to see this beautiful raindrops early in the morning after an overnight spell of showers…this made me think that its just like the  String of life’s events strung together..     As I see a fledgling bird learning to take its flight Perched on a branch swaying in gently breeze Trying to explore its neighborhood of delicate twigs Scared it might slip, yet taking the leap with courage Knowing that there is someone to hold on tight if it falls   As I take my walk under the grey clouds in evening breeze Laden heavy with rain that is about to fall I see a flock of pigeons in shades so varied flying Forming various patterns enjoying the amazing weather And the freedom with no fear of blowing away   As I sip my evening tea watching the rain Enjoying the melody of the birds song flying back home So calming like the waterfront with the mountains in the backdrop With the glistening lake in the warm sunshine Lightens up the mood so calm and refreshing   Strong and firm like the mountain Calm and relaxing like the lake Being there when you need Freedom to be your real self Who else can it be..but for my Friends forever a

“Happiness is a journey, not the destination - Anonymous” Date: August 21 2017 Eclipse start 9.30 AM Totality for 1 m 58 secs starting at 10:15 am Location: Depoe Bay, Oregon                     Some unforgettable experiences / trips will be etched in the book of life forever. I would like to share one such experience rather expedition.                     It was early autumn days , just when the maple leaves are changing colors and the days start getting shorter. I came to know that there was the Total Solar eclipse across the US belt in 2017. Also Seattle was quite close to the path of totality with around 90% coverage visibility. The path of totality also included the pacific north west coast which was closeby to Seattle. I din want to miss this unique chance..a once in a life time opportunity to view this celestial event.                    Even though I could view it from Seattle with 90% coverage , I wanted to see the total eclipse from Li
