Hike along Lotschental

A Canvas of green amidst the high steep mountains separated by a merrily gurgling river and springs..depicts the Valais Region of Switzerland.

As part of this week’s hike we planned to go to Lotschental. It is located near the Thun Region closer to the Interlaken region.

The weather was awesome, not hot not cold..a pleasant day of late summer. We reached took the route of BadenàBernàGoppenstein via train. Then took a bus to Wilen, Lotschental. Our Plan was to reach FlaferAlps.
We took a cable car to reach the Lauscher Alps..our start point.

We walked through the valley along a route, which was most panoramic. Huge mountains, glaciers, tiny houses located at varying heights.

As we walked along, there was the pleasant breeze blowing. Every bend that we took brought before us a new view of the valley that was beautiful beyond words.

There were several trekkers French, Swiss, Italians who walked along. It was fun as we greet each other and come across the same set of people at different resting points.

As we walked along we came across a herd of mountain Yaks grazing in the valley, several tiny springs, waterfalls.

For me it was a walk, which refreshed my mind, filled with fresh thoughts and hope. At one point we all sat down to rest at a camping site and we could see all the fellow hikers sitting on the other side. After we were rested enough we saw that there was a small pond with emerald green water and people were enjoying it. Although the weather was warm, the water was cold but still children, elders alike were swimming, sun bathing along the bank. The view was absolutely beautiful.

On the whole, the green plains, pine trees, fluffy clouds, the river, the glacier, the majestic mountain range.. the whole combination made my soul to rejuvenate and look up to life with hope and determination.
Another amazing trip:-)....
