Glooorius Mornings!!

Image
As i wake up every morning I feel like a little kid feeling excited at even the smallest thing.                 As winter creeps in the mornings become more cold but beautiful. It was a beautiful morning with chill air and the fog still clinging on to the buildings and trees masking the view. I just happened to step out on my balcony, to be greeted by the break of dawn that makes its dramatic entrance in the early hours.                   One of the days, on one hand i could see my friend, the brightly shining morning star glowing so brightly in the slightly lit up backdrop of grey and blue. On the other side i could see the half moon with its closest buddy star shining with a circle of shimmer encircling it slowly making its way to the break of dawn in its full glory of pink, orange and grey splattering the clouds with so many colors. I always cherish such views with my morning tea.                  One other day , after a rainy night as i walke

Look through the window..

As I look through the window I see the chill morning air so crisp Mist covering the fir and pine trees beyond Yet I hear the pleasant chirping of the birds waking to welcome a new morning with renewed hope. As I look through the window I see the Cascading mountains stretching so long Amidst the hustling busy streets and chaos Yet i see a lone white peak so charming and beautiful looking forward to a clear sky and sunshine with hope. As I look through the window I see the majestic Rainier so breathtaking and calm Standing still and strong in spite of stormy clouds A view so close yet so far for me  making me look forward  to the beautiful view once the  storm is over within and beyond  with the hope of a new beginning.                                                          - Nirmala

Mt. Rainier...Here i come again..

Mt. Rainier is one of the most beautiful , majestic and gracious mountain of the North west. It is one of my favorite things in Seattle and never get bored of seeing it everyday.           This weekend it turned out to be the right time to visit Mt. Rainier National park to , first see my favorite destination and second the colorful wild flowers painting the meadows like bright colors on a green canvas. Our plan was to hike along the Sunrise Rim loop trail at the Sunrise point Visitor center. This was supposed to be the lesser known place compared to the Paradise view point which most visitors seem to enjoy.            I was more excited since i had visited the same place exactly one year before but on a different trail. It was so enchanting and amazing views that i wanted to see this place again this year. It felt so familiar as though being among friends. Also, i was intending to capture the moments by photographing the wild flowers, Mt. Rainier etc. It

Hike to Snow Lake and Snowqualmie falls

As I write this blog the song Kal ho na ho is playing in the background making it appropriate for the experience I had in this trip.              Its been a long week and a while since I entered into the realms of mother nature. This weekend , few friends shortlisted to trek along the Snow lake trails in the Snowqualmie forests. It was an hour's drive from my place. It was supposedly a moderate level hike with an elevation of 1400 ft and around 7.2 miles round trip.              We started at around 10.30 am to arrive just in time when the misty clouds were clearing away in the Snowqualmie west summit. All along the drive we could see the clouds covering the peaks of the cascades with slight drizzle as well. The drive in itself was very beautiful.                      The trail started with a few series of stairs and slowly up into the thick forests with lush green tall pine trees. The path was not as smooth , but was a bit more rocky and had to be
